Mauri Martín Marín

My journey began in Bilbao, Spain, where I studied Fine Arts at UPV University, specialising in audiovisual art installations, while also studying at a music school. After graduating, I worked as a freelancer across projection mapping, music production, DJ-VJ performance, and architectural photography, among other projects.

While I learned a huge amount working in the music industry, both as a songwriter at Sony ATV and as a DJ, I gradually realised that my strongest creative drive lived on the visual side. That shift led me deeper into VJing for clubs and festivals, as well as designing visuals for corporate events and brand activations.

In 2019, I moved from Bilbao to Cardiff, Wales, where I soon began working full-time with the award-winning immersive studio 4Pi Productions and Europe’s first immersive arts space, CULTVR. As Head of Studio, I’ve been involved in a wide range of projects, from filming and editing fulldome and VR films to 3D animation, motion design for events and social media, VJing, and sound design.​ Through this work, I’ve experienced first-hand both the power and the complexity of shared immersive experiences, and I’ve been part of CULTVR’s growth into the established immersive arts venue it is today.

Now, with 6+ years of experience in immersive media and over a decade in the creative industries, I’m especially interested in the space where technology, creativity, and branding intersect, creating meaningful experiences for audiences that are increasingly ready to engage with them.
